I found 3 broken wires and repaired them. The thin black ground wire was broken and after repairing it all was back to normal.
Check the fuse. Once you locate the fuse box, find the fuse that controls the interior light. This information can be found in your car’s manual or on the fuse box cover. Use a fuse tester or a multimeter to test the fuse for continuity. If the fuse is blown, the multimeter will show no continuity, and the tester light will not light up.
When the interior lights on the 2017 Ford Explorer won’t turn off, it can be a real headache.
